And the came the JetLag

Oh so sleepy today…. I went to be around 11:30 and feel asleep right away, but woke up about 30 minutes later. I could not fall sleep for 3 hours. I think jet lag finally got me. Or maybe it was just weird to have a giant king sized bed all to myself!!! I was exhausted this morning, but managed to roll into work on time, avoiding being fired on my second day.

Had a  great day at work. everyone is friendly and helpful. Probably because they know the team I am on saved the company 3million pounds thus far this year, and they want me to do a project to save them money, too.

I have tomorrow off still, but I have to go to Leicester on Thursday. It is pronounced “lester”  not “lie-kest-er,” which I learned today, much to everyone’s delight. Next week I go to Manchester and Birmingham, then Worthing the week after, which is about as far south in England as you can go.

I also found a place to live with a lovely French girl. She has spare room with ensuite (which means there is a private bathroom actually in the bedroom – kind of like a master bedroom suite in the US).She has a friend moving in 6 weeks from now, so it works out perfectly, as that is about the time Michael will be here.

It is foggy and drizzly out today, and the cool humid air feels really good. I am just beat though, so I think I am going to walk over to this restaurant called EAT for some soup and bread, then come home and snuggle in my covers and watch a movie. Tomorrow should be a fun day – it is supposed to be sunny and 72, and I need to buy sheets, a pillow, a blanket, and a towel for my new room! IKEA here I come. I also need an umbrella.. shocking, I know.
