Un crêpe à Londres ? Oui c’est vrai ! ! !
There are a lot of French things in London, including a creperie close by my hotel, where I dined this evening
Amazingly, I made my first British Rail trip without a hitch. I had to go to the Euston Tube station to pick up my rail tickets, backtrack to the St Pancras Tube to connect to the Leicester station (which is about 1.5 hours north of London). I met the Leicester staff, who were very helpful. I will say, however, if I have to look at one more hand drawn diagram of how imports/exports works, I will probably punch someone. I also made it all the way back without missing even one turn! For me, this is practically a miracle, as I am not directionally gifted, or really even competent, to be honest.
The countryside reminds me a little of the Midwest in the US. Very lush and rolley. I saw some really cool ponies in a field. I think they were Shetland Ponies, but I can’t be sure. We were going so fast on the train, that I couldn’t really get a photo. They had long manes, and short legs.
Here’s a photo of a real Shetland, if you care to see one.
