This would NEVER happen in Phoenix…
So I have begun the search for a longer term apartment for Michael and myself. I have identified the areas that make sense for us, and I think it is probably best if we have our own place, since Michael will work from home sometimes. Actually, I will too at some point, and I’m guessing room mates don’t want you spreading all your stuff out everywhere. So I am looking at the rental websites and I see a few that look good, email them, and wait for my replies. The first one back is from this guy who has a too good to be true apartment less that a mile from my work, perfect area, perfect space, cheap, etc. Did I mention it seemed too good to be true? Apparently, he is, and I quote: “very busy man lives in Newcastle” and he once came all the way down to show the apartment and learned that the man didn’t have enough money for the rent. So if I could kindly complete this easy Moneygram scheme he has created….. need I go on? Sigh… so I get another response. This one is from the Reverend (nice touch, huh?) Jackson Barox, who assures me he is “a kind and honest man.” UNFORTUNATELY, he is on a mission in South Africa and his wife, who lives in New Jersey, has the keys. If I could just kindly send a Moneygram…..
Seriously?
This would NEVER happen in Phoenix.

OF course it wouldn’t happen here. We call it Western Union when we want to scam someone
You mean the honest Reverend was an a@# too. You got to watch out for those religious ones, they’ll get you every time. Good luck hunting, and I hope you don’t have to deal with any more money grams.
Leave your response!
