Oh so sleepy today…. I went to be around 11:30 and feel asleep right away, but woke up about 30 minutes later. I could not fall sleep for 3 hours. I think jet lag finally got me. Or maybe it was just weird to have a giant king sized bed all to myself!!! I was exhausted this morning, but managed to roll into work on time, avoiding being fired on my second day.

Today was not easy, and trying to focus on your work is difficult when you know your Sutton is on a completely different continent, where it is 60 and partly sunny. Oh how I envy her for leaving just before the hot weather decided it was here to stay.

The top reason I love London today is that everyone walks really fast. if there is one thing I don’t like, it is walking slow, unless you are on a tour-y type walk. Another thing I really like is that every restaurant I go to has a lot of vegetarian items, marked with a “V.” It makes it so easy to see what you can eat – and there are multiple options, which is also nice. Why you ask? Primarily because they rock. I had a really good experience. Actually everything has been really good so far. I checked in quickly, got the seat I had reserved (a bulkhead seat with lots of legroom). The flight left more or less on time… I think it was about 15 minutes late… which is on time in airline lingo. And also, they actually board you in a way that makes sense – from the front and the back at the same time, so we were all on board …

What a day!!! I had a pretty normal morning, hung out at the house made Michael and John each an apple crisp (John – if Michael didn’t give you yours, let me know… he will be in big trouble once he gets here!!!).
