Dinner with Lucas and Miriam on Saturday was a lot of fun. So much so, that we missed the last train home and had to navigate back via buses full of well liquored people. So rather than blather on in one post about everything that happened this weekend, I’ll probably break it up into a few posts. For those who seek zero details though, here you go:
1. We officially have a flat. It is rented and we have keys and we are moving tings over the next week.
2. We did some touristy stuff. We saw Big Ben, the Eye, and Westminster Abby. It only felt a little weird.

I really like it here – even the rain, even the noise of living in a big city, and I have even come to look at the high prices as a personal challenge to get the best deal. Somehow I already won an award. To be honest, I think I won it for having patience with the whole transfer thing, but I am not entirely sure. Basically, the award consisted of a tour of HSBC HQ and a lunch with some important people. I also got a bag emblazoned with the HSBC logo, a pen set, a candy bar, and a bottle of water.

The tour was alright, but nothing special, since I have been to HQ several times already. The bag is cool! I can carry my umbrella …

Well Michael made it safely to London. I’m sure he will tell his story better than I ever could, but just thought I’d let everyone know he is here.
