A Harrowing Misadventure

28 March 2009 2 views 2 Comments

I went to the big Westfield Shopping Centre today. The only thing different about it than every giant shopping center in the US is that it has a cupcake store. The frosting was twice as high as the cupcake itself. I may or may not have had one. You will all never know.

Anyway, all was well until the return journey. The last leg is on a double decker bus, and the driver was trying to kill us all! I got on the bus and started to walk upstairs when the driver SLAMMED on the brakes! 5 passengers on the 1st level fell down, and I was THROWN backward ! Luckily, I was holding onto the handrail so I was able to catapult myself forward instead of tumbling down the stairs.

Every time this driver started or stopped, people were flying all around the bus. One “bloke” (that means guy in British) even yelled “STOP!” But it didn’t help her driving skills. I almost fell down on the way off the bus too.  Baby Sutton and I are fine, and Kathleen has warned me that I am not allowed to ride the bus anymore.

Let me clarify ….you can ride a bus – just not a double decker one.

Actually Jen just fell over when she dropped her cupcake and tried to pick it up before the 5 second rule went into effect. Honestly, the things some people do for attention around here…
