This Week

10 April 2009 0 views No Comment

My room mate is out of town this week, and it is very peaceful here. And… my favorite room mate in the world comes in 2 days!!! It has been 6 grueling weeks, and I am tired tired tired of being here without him. I know people do it for a lot longer, but I am just not the long distance type. We move into our new place in 1 week, and I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to it. As you may have noticed, I like to move around a lot, but I really like to have a home base. I have been living out of a suitcase, and sleeping through my room mate’s soccer watching extravaganzas. And Michael – not a word about how I can sleep through Sunday afternoon football. This is totally different.

Tuesday, we welcomed a colleague from India – Kapil. He has been on our work team for awhile, but was seconded to the UK to work on a  project for a month.img_0243

So here we have Hannah, Lukas, Kapil, and Mark… sitting in the order of most to least favorite – starting with Hannah as my most favorite. Poor Mark, when does the teasing stop?

And in just a few days we get our ultrasound! Baby Sutton has been kicking up a storm, and I feel like I am getting bigger by the  minute. I also felt him stretching, I think – just felt this long, slow movement, that seemed like a good long stretch. I can only imagine that is sucks to be cramped up in such a tiny space, although he is only about 10 1/2 inches long – about the length of a Barbie doll. Don’t get me wrong, I love feeling this little guy inside me, but this week my skin actually started to feel like it is stretching out – it doesn’t hurt, but it feels very tight. I am going to try to find a product called Bio Oil which is supposed to be some kind of godsend. On a funny note, when I sit with my laptop on my lap, by belly often hits the “mouse” bar and causes it to jump around. Guess I need to move the computer down to my knees.
