Perfect Weekend!
Michael and I had a perfect weekend. We slept in really late both days, and the weather was beyond beautiful every second. It was sunny and about 70 degrees the whole time. Michael took me to see the area around our new flat (long story and not worth telling why the one we originally decided on din’t work out). So the new place is in Kensington, which is a leafy, peaceful, yet very “happening” part of London. Unlike the other flat, this flat is in an area with 3 grocery stores (including a huge (possibly the biggest?) Whole Foods!), an underground station within 6 blocks, a bunch of the kinds of stores you want around, like drug stores and an Argos (think old school Service Merchandise), and about 30 restaurants. It is also about 2-3 blocks from Holland Park (home of the fancy turkeys and Japanese garden from previous postings), about 10 blocks from Hyde Park, with its lakes, cultural events, green space, and sports fields, and to top it all off, it has its own private garden / mini park… maybe 2-3 acres big. I haven’t actually seen the flat itself yet, but Michael says it is just great, so I have high hopes. We move in on Tuesday, and photos are forthcoming.

Hanging out in Hyde Park
So we spent a lot of time in the various parks, checking out Kensington High Street, and of course, eating. Today we went to the world famous Beigel Bagel shop on Brick Lane. The bagels were okay (only one option.. cream cheese or no cream cheese), but they didn’t toast them! The apple turnover, doughnut, and carrot cake were pretty solid–especially the carrot cake!!!

World famous bagels? I think not... they can't even spell bagel.
All in all it was just a great weekend. It is so good to have Michael here – makes such a positive difference!
So with that I leave you with my 22 weeks along photo.

It looks beautiful. I miss grass.
On another note I have been looking at baby names, and now that we know it’s a boy I can narrow it down.
This is what I have so far.
Boon, Hawk, Jericho, Gavin, Gage, Camden…and I will keep looking.
