So it has been 3 weeks since I began my job search and I can say that given the current conditions, it is going rather well. I have nothing to report yet, but one thing I have noticed is that since employers know that this is a tough market, they are now making you jump through more hoops. I suppose that when you can afford to be picky, why not? Nonetheless it can be a little frustrating when you think that you have finished a process and you find out there is “one more step;” or that you have to take a 3 hour train ride for a half hour meeting/interview and then take a 3 hour train ride back. I’m hoping in June I’ll be looking back on all this and laughing with Jen in the park drinking fancy juices. For now, I will laugh at this visual.
