It was really hot here yesterday – 84 degrees! Which is just about unbearable to the Brits. In fact they have issued heat wave warnings, and all the papers have headlines like “Killer Heat Wave!!!” To be fair, air conditioning is pretty unusual here, especially in people’s homes, and only the really big office buildings have it (Michael has to suffer with just a fan and an open window).

I was confirmed with B- blood today (which I already knew, but they wanted to test). So I had to have the Rh- shot. A Scottish midwife gave it to me, and I could barely understand what she was saying!!! Something about hating this jab because it is quite thick.
Anyway, my stupid arm hurts now and I couldn’t sleep last night because my stupid back hurts. I kept poor MIchael up all night with my tossing and turning, but he didn’t complain once.

I had a midwife appointment today. The quick version is that everything is just fine.
Here is the long version for the Grandmas to be. I love my midwife, She reminds me of my friend Melanie, who knows everything about having babies. Everything. Yet strangely isn’t a know it all. I have been bounced around a lot during this pregnancy (mostly my own doing), and so I had a ton of questions about London specific issues.
