I went to the doctor today for a regular appointment. I thought it was a  midwife appointment, but apparently I was wrong!!! My midwife appointment is in 1-2 weeks and they have to refer me from the doctor’s office to the midwife’s office. What a lot of chasing around. Anyway, I got to hear Baby’s heartbeat, which was very strong, and the doctor felt around to see his positioning. He has “nestled” down between my pelvic bones although he is still floating. Basically, this means he is floating along, upside down, and probably facing somewhat to my right. I guess this explains why he has been kicking me incessantly in the upper right rib cage.

Doctor said she had never seen such a beautiful head on a baby (based on the ultrasound picture in my file). I have to agree.

The midwife center is attached to the hospital / birth center where will have the baby, so I will have a few opportunities to get the path down correctly.

So all is well with baby and mama – will update you all after the midwife appointment!
