Baby Sutton

18 June 2009 1 views 4 Comments

Baby Sutton has go to be the most active baby around town. Plus he is a night owl. He just loves to kick, punch, swirl, whirl, stretch, and bounce from about 2:30-5am every night. This has been going on for a long time, but due to high demand, he has added 2 extra performances a day. That’s right, you can now experience his wild antics at 10am and 5pm too! Each performance lasts about 2 hours. If he is feeling especially energetic, he sometimes likes to throw in a post lunch bounce around, too – usually at 1pm or so.

The only thing that ever seems to calm him down is when someone else wants to feel him move. The second someone else’s hand touches my belly, he falls asleep, though he sometimes lets his Daddy join the fun.

So other moms, is this going to get better or worse before he is born? Is this nature’s way of preparing me for the upcoming lack of sleep? Does he HAVE to kick my ribs so much??? Did I kick your ribs that much Mom? Does this mean he is super big? How am I going to deal with 2 more months????

UPDATE JUNE 19 (FRIDAY)
Note for future child rearing techniques: Guilt works!!! Baby let me sleep all night. He didn’t wake me up until 4:30am… although it is possible I just slept through the whole thing…

Is the 10am performance considered a matinee?

Yes and you can get a $2 discount… plus the family special, where if you buy a popcorn, you get a free slushie or other soft drink of your choice, and a fun size bag of M&Ms.

I can’t tell you until AFTER he is born, how much you kicked me and tortured me those last months… The thing is, once the baby comes the only thing that is left is the love.

    You’ll be fine…just not yet!
