Attack of the Twelve Year Old Girls!

1 July 2009 0 views 3 Comments

I went swimming again today, and I have several observations to share. Other people’s children are annoying. They scream and kick water in your face when you are trying to flot on your back, and they sneak under the changing room door and try to peek at you while you are changing, which tends to give you a heart attck when you turn around and notice a little girl in the room with you. In fact other people in general are annoying. One lady was swimming and kicked out so wildly from her lane that she went into mine and kicked me in the back – hard – and didn’t even say she was sorry!!! What exactly did she think she kicked in the middle of the pool since there are only people  and water. Had she kicked me in the stomach that hard I would have pummeled her. She’s lucky…. AND a lady sat next to me on the bus on the way home and jammed one of her 8000 packages in between herself and me so she could set the rest on her lap. Then her hair was getting all over my face. I actually had to ask her to move her package and hair. Which made me feel guilty for some reason. Yes I know I am cranky, and no, I don’t want any lip about it from anyone.

On a funny note – a 3 year old girl walked up to me at the pool, touched my belly, and said “was’sat?”  (What’s that?)   It was so adorable. And I was surrounded by a small horde of twelve year old girls oohing and ahhing over my belly. They had all never seen a real live pregnant belly before (I had my bikini on, so you could see it in all its glory). It was a little creepy, but mostly sweet.

Sounds like there is a Jennifer fan club forming at the swimming pool. 12-year-olds make great fans!
