Midwife Appointment

15 July 2009 2 views No Comment

Baby is happy and healthy. He is semi engaged, and in the exact right position to be born, with his back on my left side, his little bum curling up around the top left, and his legs sticking out to the right. His head is facing to the right. He probably will stay in this approximate position for the next 4-5 weeks, when he will join us in the real world.  Don’t you think your neck would hurt  if you were in one position for 5 weeks??? Everything is good with me too – my iron continues to be just scraping by the low side of normal, even with the iron supplements (you can be between 10-60 to be considered normal, and I am at 10.4), but she actually suggested that maybe I should cut down to one per day, and they will test me again next time.

Poor Michael is sick. He has some kind of flu or cold – coughing, headache, sore throat – and he has no option to stay home from work because he is still in his probationary period at work. But he has been really good – in bed around 10pm, if you can believe it, and actually letting me take care of him a little bit.
