Awwwwwww…..

Zev has been smiling for weeks now, but just recently started doing it with more purpose. Before it seemed like he would smile for a few seconds for whatever reason, but now he does it as a response to something, and he will absolutely beam. I have been lucky enough to be the reason several times now (since I am his primary caregiver and source of milky goodness). So this morning, Michael came in to say goodbye as the two of us snuggled sleepily in bed, and when Zev saw his Daddy, he broke out this incredibly huge grin that lasted forever! It was so sweet and made us both really happy.
In other milestone news, Zev’s moving right along the markers – he can hold his head at an angle for a long time, can almost lift his head while on his back, tracks objects (he especially loves the camera!), found his hands and is working on his feet, and is starting to vocalize in ways other than crying. My favorite is his yell. Out of nowhere he will suddenly just yell at about half volume. He also coos and gurgles. Its all very sweet.
Not so sweet was when I was applying nappy cream yesterday and he pooped on my finger. At least Michael thought it was hilarious.
Also, my PUPPS is going strong. I was referred to a dermatologist for Wednesday afternoon; an update will likely be on my agenda then.
PS – The picture has no relation to the post but I think its funny.

Aack! So sorry about the PUPPS. Yikes. That’s just miserable.

    The smiling is so cool!
