Saturday was a brutal day weather wise. It rained all day and was miserable, but it made for a great day of getting under a blanket with Jen and Zevry and camping out by the TV. I actually braved the weather to go play football, but only 4 people showed up. Wimps!

I think that overall we have been extremely lucky with Zev. The pregnancy, birth, and his health have all been close to ideal, and I am very grateful for that. The only area that has been a little challenging is sleep. Zev hates his cot. Hates it. Either that or he seems terrified of it. Zev’s new goal is to be a better rapper than his Uncles Rico and Ricky so we have started to go to Baby Rhyme Time! There had to have been 100 babies and mums – plus one grandpa. Zev and Sophie were the youngest babies; most were more like 1-4 years old. Zev really loved it – he was looking around in utter amazement at the sheer volume of babies singing rhymes in unison. This morning Daddy went to play some football and I put Zev down on Monkey Island for some play time. He really does like this toy a lot, and I have been putting it in the floor instead of the bed because it provides a harder surface and I though it might help him with his pushups to build his neck strength.

What an exciting week! On Monday, Zev and I met our friends Lucy and Sophie and we went to the Natural History Museum. We will definitely be back. We went to a special Darwin Exhibit, which was nothing short of spectacular. They had a really cool set up – when you enter the exhibit, you go into this giant cocoon, which houses the collection. Your ticket is a lightweight flexible card, and at each display in the exhibit, you can save data to your card and then look it up …
