AhhhGoo!

Zevry has discovered that he has a voice! His favorite word is ahhhgooo and he says it all the time. All the time. Nana gt a taste of it on the phone the other day, but then yesterday we i-chatted with Grandma and Grandpa and he talked for a good solid 20 minutes. Every time we tried to talk, he would jump in with his two cents.
Zev has also started some rudimentary mimicry. The other day Michael was taking a shower and I brought the baby in to peek around the shower curtain at him. I ended up staying in chatting while Michael took his shower and at one point, he was washing his hair and Zevry was observing him very closely. All the sudden he put his own hand on his head and “washed” his own hair! Now he reaches up to touch his peach fuzz head all the time. A day or two later, Michael was entertaining Zev with a monkey dance, and Zev responded by saying “ooo oooo oooo” while making monkey motions. He also likes to lay on his Monkey Island Gym and make noises at the whale and lion toys. He will lay there for 15 minutes talking to them – in his mind he is quite sure he is communicating useful information, but I can’t decipher it. He looks so earnest when he talks that I can’t help but laugh. I am trying to teach him how to say Ba, Da, and Ma. He watches me so intently while I form the sounds and he tries really hard to do it, but he’s just not quite there. With ‘Ba” he will close his mouth for the ‘b’ part but he can’t quite grasp how to put the ‘a’ on the end. Its very fun to watch.
Bad news… I lost my camera battery charger, so for now I am limited to photos I take with my iphone. Boo.

ahhhgooo
