Freshen Your Drink?
Michael had a company picnic on Saturday, so we packed up the baby and headed down to Central Phoenix for some good times! It was a political picnic SRP holds every year, where all the candidates for all the parties have a chance to speak for a few minutes. It was interesting to see all the candidates gathered, but frankly, it was a lot more fun to watch Zev running around than to listen to a bunch of speeches. We tried to get Zev’s arm painted with a pumpkin, but the clown scared him and he started to cry, so he had to walk around with an orange glob of paint on his arm instead of a proper pumpkin. Then another clown made him a balloon bumblebee, but it was blue and white, and she drew a beaver’s face on it! Ummmm….? It popped after about 30 minutes anyway, when Zev bit it. Somebody had to protect the integrity of bumblebee colors and faces. I of course, headed straight for the KettleKorn stand, while Michael took Zev down a giant blow up slide. Michael only got a little scared. But the highlight of the day had to be when Jan Brewer finished her speech and walked right over to where we were standing for some photo ops. Michael and I gave each other a knowing glance, and hopped into line, so we to could capture this timeless moment on film.

What a day full of clowns!
