Baby Sutton has go to be the most active baby around town. Plus he is a night owl. He just loves to kick, punch, swirl, whirl, stretch, and bounce from about 2:30-5am every night. This has been going on for a long time, but due to high demand, he has added 2 extra performances a day. That’s right, you can now experience his wild antics at 10am and 5pm too! Each performance lasts about 2 hours. If he is feeling especially energetic, he sometimes likes to throw in a post …

I went to the doctor today for a regular appointment. I thought it was a  midwife appointment, but apparently I was wrong!!! My midwife appointment is in 1-2 weeks and they have to refer me from the doctor’s office to the midwife’s office. What a lot of chasing around. Anyway, I got to hear Baby’s heartbeat, which was very strong, and the doctor felt around to see his positioning. He has “nestled” down between my pelvic bones although he is still floating. Basically, this means he is floating along, upside …

A few days ago I started having what are called Braxton Hicks contractions. They are perfectly normal and common, and they don’t hurt at all – they are just the way your uterus trains for the big event. It is weird, though, my belly gets super tight and hard, and then Baby wakes up and starts kicking. I’m sure it doesn’t feel very good to be squeezed from every direction. Or maybe he is kicking with glee… hard to say.
I have my next midwife appointment on Thursday afternoon, but I …

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful Moms out there! We love you all and I know I especially have a new found appreciation for what you went through to get us here. That being said, we celebrated our first Mother’s Day here in London with french toast and juice. I decided to get Jen a little something just to let her know I appreciate her as the mother of my unborn child, so I got her a body pillow. Jen has had a few restless nights as of …

I had my last scan today and was told we have a naughty baby (said in an extremely British accent).

Here is a list of the things Baby did today to earn him this label:
1. Shook his head “no” over and over again when the technician tried to measure his head. He just would not hold his head still!
2. Pressed his face against the inside wall of the placenta while the tech was trying to take a picture of his face.
3. Arched his back and extended his neck out making his …

Michael has an all day football extravaganza today, so I decided to busy myself with a trip to Columbia Road Flower Market. Naturally, I forgot my camera, but it was so crowded that it would have been hard to capture the scene anyway. The market is pretty amazing. If and when my mom comes out, this is going to be a top priority because they have every kind of flower and plant you can imagine, in every color and shape you could want. The only thing I noticed a distinct …

Baby kicks me all the time now! ALL the time. I actually really love it. Today, pretty much non stop from 8-10:30am it was kick, kick punch, stretch, kick, swing, swirl, kick. Michael is still not believing that I am pregnant – telling me that anyone who eats as much as I do is bound to gain a few pounds. He is also wondering what color the stork who delivers baby will be. Hopefully Baby gets my brains.

So Jennifer had her ultrasound today. After they manuvered around all of the cake and pastries in there we were able to determine that everyone inside was healthy as far as they can tell. By everyone, I mean the single baby inside. By the single baby inside I mean the little boy that will be here on or around August 20th.

Upon further examination you will notice a few things…

To the left you can see the body. To the right you see the head and to the upper right of the …

My room mate is out of town this week, and it is very peaceful here. And… my favorite room mate in the world comes in 2 days!!! It has been 6 grueling weeks, and I am tired tired tired of being here without him. I know people do it for a lot longer, but I am just not the long distance type. We move into our new place in 1 week, and I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to it. As you may have noticed, I …
