So much for keeping up with the blog. A lot has changed in the last six months. New job, new goals, and Zev is exactly two and a half. He knows so much now, and he has the funniest gestures. We visited the dentist today. She was nice enough and seemed to know what she was doing. Zev wasn’t scared and in fact wanted to “bas?!” which means I want to get in/on that thing I am pointing at (in this case the chair), but can also mean I want to get down from this thing I am in/on.

Michael had a company picnic on Saturday, so we packed up the baby and headed down to Central Phoenix for some good times! It was a political picnic SRP holds every year, where all the candidates for all the parties have a chance to speak for a few minutes. It was interesting to see all the candidates gathered, but frankly, it was a lot more fun to watch Zev running around than to listen to a bunch of speeches. Zev has been really interested in birds lately. We go swimming a few times a week and then sit out in the shade and wait for the hot air to dry us off. While we do that, a lot of birds fly overhead. So Zev got his first haircut. He was looking quite wild and woolly and I think he was scaring the other children. I decided to give him a little trim, and it seemed silly to take him to a barber shop or even one of those kids haircut places. His hair was about a million different lengths and was starting to grow over his ears, so I really just wanted to trim the edges and make his top hair short enough that his shampoo mohawk could actually stand up.
