So I am starting to settle in to regular life in London. Amazingly, I still like it here, even though the brand newness of it all has slightly worn off. By that I mean that I am not really a tourist, or a business visitor anymore, just a regular citizen of London. Londoner? Londonite?
As predicted, the hardest thing for me has been being a little lonely. The good news is I haven’t been achingly homesick yet, and I haven’t cried yet (although I wanted to on Sunday with all the …

are the devil’s workshop, and here at the workshop we are serving up homemade chocolate chip cookies. Yes, this is Michael’s post. Yes, I made cookies. Yes, seriously! Fine, here’s proof:
Okay, I have no idea what came over me, but I made cookies. If you read the blog, consider yourself invited over to help me eat them. (They are actually edible.) It was a bit of a challenge since I didn’t quite have the ingredient list skating at full strength, but I don’t think anyone will notice. I do however …

So I (the Princess in this story) woke up this morning in excruciating pain. My lower back was KILLING me. I rolled over to get out of bed, put my foot down, and my leg didn’t work!!! It just kind of collapsed under me, which was really weird. Luckily the bed was right under me, so I just kind of laid back down. So now my process begins, the selling of cars, the procuring of a house renter, the storage of goods. Ah, yes, the glamorous side of globetrotting is now upon us me. Well, luckily, some advance work was done, so it shouldn’t be too bad, but I’m ready to go to London tonight! Anybody need a 2007 Honda Fit Sport?

Oh so sleepy today…. I went to be around 11:30 and feel asleep right away, but woke up about 30 minutes later. I could not fall sleep for 3 hours. I think jet lag finally got me. Or maybe it was just weird to have a giant king sized bed all to myself!!! I was exhausted this morning, but managed to roll into work on time, avoiding being fired on my second day.
Had a great day at work. everyone is friendly and helpful. Probably because they know the team I …

It was the strangest thing to drop Jen off at the airport today. Probably more strange for her since she knows where she is going, and by that I mean she controls her destiny. From an airport she could be going anywhere, so when I drop her off there, that is where she has disappeared to. This probably doesn’t make any sense, but that’s why it is surreal. The reality part is that now the house is quiet and empty. The closet is only half full, the bathroom counter isn’t …
