Around 4:30 or so I went for a walk to see if I could kick-start some contractions, and it worked! By a few minutes after 6 I was having a ton of cramps and some moderately painful contractions. Just got back from the midwife. Everyone is healthy – my blood pressure has dropped just a little down to 100/60 (anything above 90/60 is normal – not sure what the high parameters are). But this is no cause for alarm because the baby has a very strong heartbeat and everything else is fine.

Michael installed a special wire cage on the outside of our flat so the baby can get some air. He also built Baby’s crib and chair on Sunday night. It definitely made things more real. We have a little baby bed sitting in our room now, and I got it all ready – little mattress, waterproof sheet, regular sheet, blanket, giraffe, and elephant.
