Bath is world famous for it’s bath houses (obviously) that the Romans established way back in the day. When we arrived in the city I would definitely say that it seemed like they would be the highlight of the trip. As it turned out, the bath houses were (while very educational) one of the more average parts. The city itself is quite beautiful and picturesque. Jen and I welcomed our first visitors today. We’ve had the pleasure of seeing friends passing through and taking them to Mildred’s but this week we welcomed our first flat guests and the first to utilize the guest bed.
Unfortunately those guests arrived at 6am at Heathrow, and as I shortly learned, there isn’t a train that even leaves to go out to Heathrow until 5:54 am. Fortunately, Mom and Dad were willing to wait at the coffee shop while I got out to Terminal 5. Why Terminal 5? Because Jen …

My friend Lisa was visiting England and Denmark (and maybe a few other places) and we all met for dinner. Lisa’s boyfriend is in a Pink Floyd tribute band, so we  got to hear some interesting stories about their tour. We had a good time at dinner, and it was really good to see her!

So it has been 3 weeks since I began my job search and I can say that given the current conditions, it is going rather well. I have nothing to report yet, but one thing I have noticed is that since employers know that this is a tough market, they are now making you jump through more hoops.
