Edinburgh / Adventure Baby

Being an international jet setter, Zev insisted on visiting 2 continents during his winter holiday. We got home from the US on Tuesday, had a nice long sleep and woke up bright and early to catch our train to Scotland. As usual, Zevry was a champion traveler, and was generally really good on both 5 hour train rides.
As you get close to Scotland, the scenery from the train is spectacular – lots of farms and rolling hills which give way to cliffs and an amazing view of the North Sea. …

Border Patrol

When we arrived in London from Phoenix, we had to go through Border Control, where they check your passport and make sure you are a valid visa holder. I am the visa holder for our family, and Michael has a sticker that shows he is my “visa dependent.” Apparently, Zev needs one of these stickers, too, because when we got to Border Control they wouldn’t admit him to the country! Of course he whined once or twice, but it lasted less than a minute and was easily solved (as usual) with a boob in …

He’s On a Roll!

Saturday was a brutal day weather wise. It rained all day and was miserable, but it made for a great day of getting under a blanket with Jen and Zevry and camping out by the TV. I actually braved the weather to go play football, but only 4 people showed up. Wimps!
Anyway, Sunday morning was a completely different scene. The sun was out and Zev was in high spirits and extremely active. We took some photos of him as he did cute things. Then he started rolling over every time …

Baby Sleep

I think that overall we have been extremely lucky with Zev. The pregnancy, birth, and his health have all been close to ideal, and I am very grateful for that. The only area that has been a little challenging is sleep. Zev hates his cot. Hates it. Either that or he seems terrified of it. So far it hasn’t been a big issue because we have been practicing attachment parenting (check out this link if you want, but in a nutshell it means that we are very responsive to Zev …
