Zev got his 3rd tooth today! Top left finally poked through this morning. I swear, it has been coming down the pipe for a month. His bottom two came in without much trouble, but these top two were just monsters. I think a lot of the pain should be relieved once the other one cuts through. Poor little guy has been wreck – his sleep is messed up, his eating has been altered… everything has just been wrong! Hopefully this gets him back on track.
So Zev got his first haircut. He was looking quite wild and woolly and I think he was scaring the other children. I decided to give him a little trim, and it seemed silly to take him to a barber shop or even one of those kids haircut places. His hair was about a million different lengths and was starting to grow over his ears, so I really just wanted to trim the edges and make his top hair short enough that his shampoo mohawk could actually stand up. He …
At 10 months and 3 weeks, Zevry took his first steps! Not sure if I should be glad or scared – a little of both perhaps. They were very, very shaky steps, but he did it! He was standing holding onto a low chair and I was about 3 feet away from him. He let go of the chair and stood by himself for about 20 seconds and then he got this big grin and he took about 3 steps toward me and then fell down into my lap. He …
Just a quick entry here in case I forget to jot this down somewhere. Zev’s been saying Mama for a few weeks now, but he also just started to say “Buh” and “Dog.” He does “Buh” when he waves and I think it might mean bye. And “Dog” is dog. His pronunciation is less than perfect, but he is a baby after all.
So we are starting to settle in to our new, old house. Jason moved 95% of his stuff this past weekend, meaning we get our bedroom back! We’ll miss Jason, but we also like the bedroom, walk in closet, and our bathroom. It is nice to have the space. This also means we can now start organizing the other bedrooms, and finally get Zev’s space in order.
Zev is still moving around like crazy. He crawls and cruises everywhere, and he is gaining a lot of confidence. He loves to look …
I read somewhere that around the 9 month mark, your child will amaze you almost every day with something new. This is most definitely true for me! Zevry has been doing all these great new things lately – I almost can’t keep up. He has mastered pulling himself up. The only issue is that he wants to pull up on everything. Every. Thing. Me, the dogs, the bookshelf, his Zany Zoo activity center, the bed, the couch, the 6 inch high box. All he knows is he wants up. He …
